After studying at Durham University, I received my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute, I became a qualified adviser and have pursued professional courses since from CII (Advanced Diploma Advanced Pensions, and then went onto become a Pension Transfer Specialist), the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (Certificate in Corporate Finance), and the Institute of Directors (Certificate in Company Direction) . Since that time, I’ve continually enhanced my knowledge and expertise through industry events and formal training.

I’ve also very committed to giving back to my local community. I’m a Level 3 cricket coach and have coached a local U16 team to the county competition (Essex Matchplay Champions).

These are notoriously difficult to do given the 'don't do it' default position of the FCA and can take a long time due to the level of enquiries the pension administrators are dealing with. I engaged Elliott following 10 months of getting nowhere with a well known national firm and he has been a 'breath of fresh air'. He is extremely thorough exploring all avenues and options fully whilst being respectful of my own situation and objectives, including what was becoming a tight timescale. Within 5 weeks (notwithstanding an intervening overseas holiday) he produced a 249 page report with clear recommendations and supporting rationale for them.
